  Ballots go in the mailMost Alhambra voters vote by mail, and most of those vote within the first two weeks. If you want your letter to shape the questions the candidates answer before you fill in your ballot, this is the week to send it.
• Oct 12 to 16if enough take part
  Live online forum, District 1 onlyThe most common neighbor questions, asked of both candidates, unseen in advance. The exact date is posted here and emailed to everyone who asked to be kept posted. The recording and transcript go up within 48 hours, so nobody has to rearrange an evening to see it.
• Oct 19Monday
  Last day to register to voteMoved recently, or never registered? You can still register and vote in person after this date, but doing it by the 19th keeps things simple and gets a ballot to your mailbox.
• Nov 3Tuesday
  Election dayFive council members decide what happens on your block, and this seat is the one District 1 chooses. Last time, 535 votes settled it.
